A WEIRD PICTURE FOR A WEIRD SHAPE
A friend commissioned this for his guitar by sending a drawing he made of an octopus and saying: ‘I want it about the ocean and… make it crazy’. Months later, I painted a ukelele for Waikiki for a giveaway and finally I made a more complex version for me, which taught me quite a few things.
AN OCTOPUS WITH MANY FACES
At the time it was the biggest sticker I made. The first try was a challenge because of the shape of the guitar and it was relaxing to work only in black lines. Using digital tools, I perfected the drawing and attempted a more balanced color scheme for my first ‘brush only’ painted sticker, and I (painfully) learned all about using acrylics.
